MISSION
The Prospect House is a residential program located at 1403 Howard Road S.E., Washington, DC, created to serve as a transitional lodging experience for returning citizens. Housing is the key to successful reintegration into society. Hence, one of the primary purposes of this program is to provide a safe place to reside while transitioning back into the community. The goal is to positively transform lives.

The Partnerships
Advisory Neighborhood Commision (ANC) is a non-partisan, neighborhood body each made up of locally elected representatives called Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners. They are a unique feature of the District's Home Rule Charter.
The Marshall Heights Community Development Organization has a focus in increasing economic equity in areas such as homeownership, employment, entrepreneurship, health care, and public safety.
The Mayor's Office on Returning Citizen's Affairs seeks to remove barriers to reentry and empowers residents to break the cycle of recidivism.
The Mayor's Office for Veteran's Affairs provides outreach and community resources to DC’s 30,000 veterans and their family members that support Mayor Bowser’s pathways to the middle class.
The Prospect House works with legal aid services to ensure a seamless transition from the judicial system for successful re-entry into society.
The United Planning Organization focuses on upporting and inspiring Washington, DC’s low-income residents on their journey to self-sufficiency and success.
The OUTCOME
Transformation is a process, and as life happens there are tons of ups and downs. It's a journey of discovery - there are moments on mountaintops and moments in deep valleys of despair.
